Agreement to Terms & Conditions

Please confirm you have read and agree to the terms.


 

Registration Form is a written agreement which is concluded between travel agency Archaeological Paths (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Tour Organizer’) and a tour guest (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Traveler’). The agreement affects a tour organized by the Tour Organizer for the Traveler. The Traveler confirms that all the personal information provided on this Registration Form is correct.

 

Tour price: $7985 per person for a double room (deposit is $800 during booking). If you are traveling alone, you can share a room with another tour member. If you would like to have a single room, the single supplement costs an extra $1795.

 

Payment Schedule:
- $800 deposit during booking.
- Full payment is due two months before the tour.

 

Price Includes: Dr. Zahi Hawass’ participation; Five Star Accommodation - 6 nights in Five Star hotel in Giza/Cairo, 7 nights onboard a Five Star Deluxe Nile Cruise Ship; domestic flights during the tour (Cairo - Luxor; Luxor - Cairo); 3 meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner; all sightseeing tours; bottled water during the sightseeing; English-speaking guide; English-speaking tour leader; transfers in air-conditioned buses; reception at Cairo International airport; airport arrival & departure transfers; government taxes; basic Health Insurance; special permissions from the government to enter sites that are limited or closed to the public as stated in the itinerary.

 

Not Included: International flights to/from Cairo in Egypt (we can help you with booking); Visa cost (visa is only $25 and issued on arrival at Cairo airport).

 

Travel Documents: All travelers need a passport valid for at least six months after the date of departure from Egypt.

 

Roommates: If you travel single during the main tour to Egypt and you would like to share your room with another tour participant, the Tour Organizer will try to find a roommate for you. If the Tour Organizer will not find a roommate for you during the tour, you will not need to pay for the single supplement and the cost of it will be covered by the Tour Organizer. In case of the add-on tours to Israel or Jordan and the additional nights at the hotel if there are no single travelers to share the room, you will need to pay for the single supplement.

 

Reservation and Payment: The deposit is required at the time of booking. Upon receipt of the deposit, the Tour Organizer gives the Traveler the right to change the tour date once without additional costs providing that the changes are confirmed up to 365 days before the first day of the initial tour date. The final payment is due 60 days prior to the beginning of the tour. It is the responsibility of the Traveler (or Traveler's agent) to determine that final payment reaches the Tour Organizer on time. Payments are to be made by credit card or wire transfer. The credit card payments incur an additional and non-refundable fee of 3.9% that will be added to the Traveler’s payment total amount. For the wire transfer payment option, any fees charged are the responsibility of the Traveler.

 

Cancellations and Refunds: The deposit and full payment for the tour is fully refunded if the Tour Organizer cancels the trip for any reason. If the Traveler cancels the reservation or any component thereof, the Traveler is required to contact Archaeological Paths by telephone as well as submit the cancellation in writing by e-mail. If the Traveler cancels the tour, the deposit is non-refundable. Tour cancellation requests received within 60 days prior to the initial tour date will be subject to the following charges:

More than 61 days – loss of the deposit payment

60 – 50 days prior to the initial tour date: 50% of the total tour price per person;

49 – 40 days prior to the initial tour date: 75% of the total tour price per person;

39 – 0 days prior to the initial tour date or nonappearance: 100% of the total tour price per person.

The costs of any supplements purchased are included into the total price of the tour. In the case of reimbursement of any costs paid to the Traveler, all bank charges or credit cards are covered by the Traveler. During the tour no refund will be made for transfers, sightseeing tours, unused site entries or any other services (including meals, accommodation, or transportation) voluntarily not taken. The Tour Organizer reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure in which case a full refund will be sent to the Traveler. The Tour Organizer is not responsible for any costs incurred by the Traveler (e.g. advance airline tickets and travel insurance). Any complaints and refund inquiries have to be made by the Traveler within 30 days after the end of the tour. Complaints and refund inquiries will be considered by the Tour Organizer within 30 days of the date of the inquiry. The complaints and refund inquiries sent in later than 30 days after the end of the tour will not be considered by the Tour Organizer.

 

Responsibility: The Tour Organizer is not responsible for any unpredictable situations like natural disasters, government actions, weather. The Tour Organizer assures no responsibility for any personal injury, illness, property damage or other loss, expense, accident, death, delay, inconvenience or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any matter beyond our exclusive control including but not limited to a delay or cancellation that causes you to miss all or any portion of the tour. Please note, the Tour Organizer cannot accept responsibility for any services which do not form part of the agreement. This includes, for example, any additional services or facilities which the hotel or any other supplier agrees to provide for the Traveler where the services or facilities are not advertised by the Tour Organizer as forming part of the Traveler’s holiday and the Tour Organizer has not agreed to arrange them as part of the agreement. The Tour Organizer reserves the right to make necessary changes in the tour itinerary in order to adapt to possible alterations in flight times or other unforeseen circumstances. The Tour Organizer reserves the right to change the itinerary or trip features at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, and the Tour Organizer shall not be liable for any loss of any kind as a result of any such changes. Tour Organizer reserves the right to substitute hotels or attractions. In the event of a change of accommodation, the Tour Organizer guarantees the 5-star standard. In the case of exclusion of the given attraction, visit or the meeting from the itinerary, the Tour Organizer reserves the right to cancel such a visit and in such event the cancelation will be replaced with another site/attraction. The changes contained in this paragraph do not apply to the possible exclusion of our special guest Dr. Zahi Hawass from the trip. Such a change would entitle the Traveler to cancel the trip without incurring any cost.

 

Health Insurance: Tour Organizer purchases health insurance for the Traveler in AXA Insurance Company. The Insurance purchased by the Tour Organizer covers the insured amounts as specified below, not including chronic diseases or pre-existing conditions. There is a possibility to extend your health insurance policy – the Traveler should contact the Tour Organizer in order to extend health insurance coverage. „I declare that I and all tour participants for whose tour I will make payments, have received General Terms and Conditions of KONTYNENTY Travel Insurance before signing this agreement. The General Terms and Conditions of KONTYNENTY Travel Insurance are approved by the AXA’s Board of Directors in resolution no. 1/17/12/2015 from December 17th, 2015 and along with the other terms of the insurance contract will apply after TOUR AGENCY concludes the insurance contract on my and other tour participants’ behalf. I also affirm that I and the mentioned participants accept all the travel insurance conditions. I and all tour participants for whose tour I will make payments, agree to the processing of our personal data specified in the insurance Application by AXA Insurance and Reinsurance Company S.A. The data will be processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act, in order to conclude and execute the insurance contract on my and the mentioned tour participants’ behalf. I affirm that I provide the personal data voluntarily and I know I have the right to check and modify it."
