An Egyptian mission, led by Dr. Mostafa Waziri, a guest of honor on our company's tours to Egypt, has uncovered a series of ancient finds in the vicinity of Luxor Temple.
The discovered items include a funerary stela made of granite dated to the New Kingdom Period and an offering table from the Roman Period.
Dr. Waziri highlighted that the stela depicts king Tuthmose IV and Amenhotep II offering to the god Amun who is seated on his throne. As for the offering table, it contains a series of holes to place various offerings and is made of limestone.
Other finds included small offering trays, a stela depicting a Ptolemaic king, and large quantities of botanical remains.
